The French word “atelier” simply translates to workshop or studio, but for the two founding partners of Furniture Atelier, it represents so much more.
Michael Cannock and Jessica Schwarz share a vision for approaching furniture fabrication differently, and in 2017, set out to make that vision a reality. Their focus was to become not only a leader in high quality craftsmanship, but to become a strategic partner in the design process; an elevated approach to typical practices of other well known Asian factories in the hospitality industry.
As your partner, Furniture Atelier offers integrated and tailored solutions for each individual project. Our process incorporates: state of the art manufacturing facilities, a knowledgeable team of experts at the workshops overseeing product development and fabrication, and a dedicated team in the Toronto office managing and overseeing the successful completion of your project.
At Furniture Atelier, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality products at competitive prices, matched with superior customer service and on-schedule deliveries.
Furniture Atelier Gives Back.
In 2017, FA Co-founder, Michael Cannock’s daughter was diagnosed with Leukaemia. With the help of generous donors and SickKids (The Hospital for Sick Children), she was able to overcome this disease and is now living a healthy life. As one of the top three children hospitals in the world, SickKids is treating kids with the most complex medical conditions.
This experience moved Michael into giving back to the hospital that helped him so greatly by donating a percentage of Furniture Atelier's sales to the SickKids Foundation. When you place an order with Furniture Atelier, a donation is made on your behalf to the SickKids Foundation.
We believe fighting for the health and well-being of children is one of the most powerful ways to improve society. Advancements in scientific knowledge and technology – made possible by donors like you – present unprecedented opportunity for SickKids.

Thank you to our gracious clients, because of you in 2019 FA doubled our donation goal of $5,000 and was able to contribute over $10,000 to the SickKids Foundation. Let’s continue to foster the lifelong well-being of children and their families.
