Michael began his career in 2000 as a sales representative for Heritage Office Furnishings, a Steelcase dealer and one of the leading British Colombia companies in the office furniture market. Over the three year period that Michael was with Heritage, he achieved the title of Top Sales Representative, dominating 60% of the department’s total sales. In March of 2003, Michael explored his interests in art and joined Art in Motion, where his primary responsibility was to launch a Hospitality Division in the US and Canada. After nearly four years, Michael joined PI Fine Art as their Director of the Hospitality Division. Michael spent the next ten years developing strong relationships in the Hospitality Industry with brands such as; Marriott, Best Western, Starwood, Host Hotels & Resorts and many more.

In 2017, Michael decided to go back to his roots in furniture and co-founded Furniture Atelier, a full-service furniture studio, crafting high-quality case goods and seating out of China. Michael’s vision for Furniture Atelier was to create a streamlined process to help Architects, Designers or Procurement Agents manage projects in positive and productive ways; and, to achieve success for the entire project team, while providing high quality and affordable products.

In addition to his passion for design and furniture, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling home to Peru and enjoying a fine brandy and cigar.
